The hospital is equipped with 23 dedicated cardiac Operation Theatres and five digital cath labs – one being a Hybrid cath lab capable of performing both interventional cardiac procedures as well as surgeries for complex heart conditions. The Institute of cardiac sciences has the provision to perform 60 heart surgeries per day and currently performs 34 heart surgeries per day. It has 200 critical care beds for post operative care and performs 10,000 cath lab procedures in a year,

At the Thrombosis Research Institute in the Health City campus, around 30 scientists are trying to develop a vaccine to prevent heart attacks in collaboration with TRI, London.

NH Institute of Cardiac Sciences also provides 80-bed dedicated paediatric cardiac ICU, the largest in the world.
The Centres have dedicated Cardiothoracic CCUs with 1:1 nursing ratio, round the clock. They are well equipped with bedside color doppler, echocardiography system, continuous oxygen supply, infusion pumps, defibrillator, ventilators, invasive as well as non-invasive pressure monitoring systems, temporary pace maker (transdermal as well as transvenous), intra aortic balloon pump, ABG (Blood Gas machine) and electrolytes analysis machines.
The centre have capabilities for multi-site pacing for patients of Heart Failure and Dilated cardiomyopathy. Recently a bilateral pacing was performed for intermittent Atrial Fibrillation.
The Non-invasive Cardiac Laboratory is run by senior cardiologists who are dedicated to the work in the field. The procedures done here include stress echoes, dobutamine stress echoes, vascular dopplers, trans-oesophageal echoes, intra-operative TEE and fetal echoes.
The Department of Radiology has approximately 7,000 square feet of space and is located predominantly in the basement and ground floor of the hospital. The department has several state of the art equipments, more than 60 personnel working for the diagnostic and therapeutic services. The Department provides a wide array of diagnostic imaging tests utilizing the most advanced imaging equipment available ranging from conventional x-ray to 64-slice CT and 0.2 Tesla MRI. The Department offers courses in DNB Radiology and Diploma in Radiology Technology and performs high quality teaching research and academic activities.
