There are a number of issues that confront both patients and GPs who wish to explore the use of alternative and complementary therapies. These include:
PurpleHealth gives you access to the Internet Health Library - the UK's largest independent natural health resource. You can search by therapy, health problem or remedy for information and research relating to your enquiry. All information is fully referenced so you can even go straight to the original research papers. We also have a FREE Medline search to enable you to find out any research relating to drug therapy or conventional treatments that may be relevant.
Using PurpleHealth, you can find qualified, reputable alternative and complementary practitioners in your local UK area. Your search for a practitioner is very flexible, allowing you to find by therapy, postcode, city, and last name.
Each search will produce a report containing all practitioners who meet the criteria of your search including their name, city, primary therapy and telephone number. Many practitioners also have professional web pages allowing you to see full details of their practices including their full qualifications, prices, specialities, clinic news, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and even a map to help you find their clinic. These pages also include the facility for you to contact the practitioners by email or send a 'Quick Message' using a special form.
There may be times when you need to contact your practitioner. This may be difficult as many work alone and are unable to take phone calls during clinic hours. Often at times, patients leave answer phone messages with their practitioners and have to wait for the practitioner to return the call. PurpleHealth overcomes this problem by enabling you to contact your practitioner directly using a one-click email facility or a 'Quick Message' option.
Why not sign up for a PurpleHealth webmail account? It's totally free and will allow you to receive emails from your practitioner (and also your friends and family) on any computer that has Internet access. All webmail accounts may also receive PurpleHealth's electronic newsletter giving you updates on news, research, products and services.
